The International folklore festival ‘Etnovyr’ which takes place under the aegis of CIOFF (Organizations of Festivals of Folklore and Traditional Arts) that operates at UNESCO, collects in Lviv collectives from many countries of the world. It will be not only the Slavic collectives from Czech Republic, Poland and Macedonia but also collectives from such exotic countries as Martinique (France), Palestinian autonomy (Israel), India, Mexico and Cyprus.

A climate in Lviv four centuries ago was so warm that vineyards on the south slopes of ‘Vysokyi Zamok’, ‘Lychakiv’ and then on the hills of ‘Kaizerwald’ up to ‘Vynnyky’ village gave to Lviv inhabitants more than hundred barrels of wine annually. Lviv enjoyed in the refined Italian, Cretan, Spanish and Hungarian wine as Lviv was a large commercial center by then.

The exhibition of painting of known Lviv artist Ihor Gapon was opened in the National museum (Lviv) on June, 10. The Hutsul canvases of Ihor Gapon which were painted in the middle of 90th of the 20 century are presented on this exhibition and also his artistic works on this subject which were painted during last years.
